WIO has set aside specific time for Summer Symposium delegates to get to know each other, network and build relationships. Below please see the schedule of organized activities and descriptions of social networking at the Summer Symposium. Items marked with ($) signify an additional fee is required at registration.
The Friday night dine around gives you the opportunity to experience dining in Williamsburg. Please select one of the restaurants from the list below when you are registering. There are a limited number of seats at each location. You will be paired with other delegates that select the same restaurant which allows you to meet new people. If you sign up for one of the below restaurants during registration, you will be expected to attend unless you contact WIO at least 48 hours in advance. A cooking show without the cameras! Includes hor d’oeuvres and champagne, five delectable courses paired with “great find” wines and recipes. Special menus prepared by professional chefs from several 5 Star restaurants. *Pre-payment is required during registration.

HoopChi is a combination of dance and Tai Chi-inspired movements with a hoop. In HoopChi, rather than spinning the hoop around your waist, HoopChi moves the hoop off your body using the frame of the hoop to stretch and tone your muscles through a series of sequential movements.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with colleagues and new friends sipping beverages and partaking in a select menu of spa services. Registration is required. Payment is dependent on services received.
Guided Water Color Painting - $45 (includes supplies and wine)
After a brief painting tutorial from one of WIO's founding leaders and seasoned painter, Barbara Arnold, you will be set free with your canvas to explore your creative side and enjoy nature.
Guided Tour of Williamsburg - $50 Adult - $30 Child (6-12)
Enjoy a guided tour of Colonial Williamsburg. Price includes a two-hour guided tour and Colonial Williamsburg admission.
Segway Tour $65
Join us for an amazing adventure as you glide along effortlessly and take in the beauty of Kingsmill. If you’ve never experienced a Segway smile and want to see what it’s all about, you won’t be disappointed! Tours are approximately 90 minutes, which includes safety introduction, practice and ride. Age and weight restrictions apply.
