Clinical Research with visco-elastics, pre-clinical ; antibiotics, clinical phases 1-4; beta-blockers for glaucoma, phase 3-4; carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, pre-clinical to phase 4; Dry eye pharmaceuticals, phases 2-3, ocular toxicology, phases 1-4; contact lenses and solutions, phases 1-4, ocular allergy, phase 4, dry eye devices phase 1. As a consultant to several pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations and to the FDA, was able to troubleshoot and assist in the reorientation of several projects that were having difficulties. Assisted in the development of protocols, writing applications, and post-market drug surveillance. Assisted with formulation issues on a number of topical and intraocular ophthalmic drugs. Extensive experience as a clinical investigator on a wide range of compounds in ocular pharmacology. Serving on Scientific Advisory Committee for start-up Ophthalmic Medical Device Company. Have acted as a mentor for Duke University Fuqua School of Business Biomedical corporations. Busy active private practice with two locations 28+ years, cataract, glaucoma, anterior segment surgery.
