Start your Summer Symposium experience off right by playing in the WIO Charity Networking Social & Golf Tournament on Thursday afternoon, August 24, 2023. All proceeds benefit Orbis International in support of its mission to transform lives through the prevention and treatment of curable blindness. Orbis recognizes the disproportional effect of blindness on women and girls and is committed to alleviating the unequal impact of blindness across communities. WIO stands with Orbis in this initiative, and we are hoping to help by making a large contribution to their efforts this year!

The Rookery at Marco is a naturally beautiful habitat for a challenging game. Join your friends and colleagues on this exciting course for nine holes of amazing golf.

All levels are welcome! In fact, we highly encourage first time players! We want to provide a comfortable environment in which you can try the sport and see if you like it. Many business deals are made on the golf course, and we want women there!

Your $275 registration fee includes:

• Pre-game reception
• Pre-game instruction
• Club rentals (if you don’t bring your own)
• Golf cart rental
• Nine holes of golf
• Unlimited fun!

EVENT SCHEDULE:

• 12:30pm Arrival (golfers to arrive with group or on own)
• 12:30pm-1:00pm Pre-game event instructions
• 1:00pm-1:30pm Reception and warm up
• 1:30pm-4:15pm Shotgun start with a 4-player team scramble format
• 4:15pm 9-hole round of golf concludes
• 4:15pm-4:45pm Travel back to the JW Marriott Marco Island

DIRECTIONS TO THE ROOKERY GOLF COURSE FROM THE JW MARRIOTT

The pre-game instruction begins at 12:30pm and our reception begins at 1:00pm. We’ll have a 1:30pm shotgun start for the 4-player team scramble. On-course challenges and competitions along the way will keep things interesting!

Your game will end at approximately 4:15pm allowing enough time to get back to the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort for the Summer Symposium opening sessions.

You may purchase “Mulligans” for your game! Even the best pro golfers make mistakes, but many of us are amateurs and beginners – and errant shots are all too common. Some may know how to quickly get out of trouble, but for the rest of us, sometimes a mulligan is our best bet for saving a stroke!

Purchase as many mulligans as you wish to help rescue your game! Even if you’re a pro, purchasing mulligans are a great way to increase your contribution (in increments of only $10) to support a worthy cause.
